The truth of the matter is, what she collects most is compliments. The Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Gold Digger
If it glitters it had better be gold for this posh princess. What does she want to see beneath the tree this year? Everything. A little gold might do just the trick. May I suggest this opulent oversized Versace crystal cocktail ring? This pretty little accessory is much like the wearer: radiant and impossible to ignore. It's everything a girl wants as a gift: It sparkles, it shimmers, it's golden and it makes her feel important.
What do I love the most? That Greek key border and the unmistakable Versace logo detail. It's a Venti holiday "do" for the fashionista in your life.

My SpaWeek Rose Ceremony
I've been indulging in and enjoying SpaWeek for several years now. This year's experience at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas topped them all. First, it begins with the ultra high luxury location. The Crescent is located just off of McKinney Avenue... a street we Dallas's best can't get enough of these days. Stylish eateries, chic boutiques and trendy hotspots dot this uptown area. If it's happening, it's probably happening on or near McKinney. In fact, much of the success of Uptown can be attributed to the Crescent complex. A 10 acre office-hotel-retail project that (by some estimates) cost as much as $400MM. The hotel itself is the centerpiece of this gorgeous crescent shaped development.
But enough of Dallas history... let's get to the pampering, shall we?!
The spa itself is actually subterranean. That's right. Deep underground. The tony rooftop pool might afford some stunning views, but the spa itself is hidden beneath the hotel. After descending the marble, mirror & brass staircase you discover a zen-like atmosphere of what is known as the Spa at the Crescent.
One glance at the counter and your surroundings and you know you're in for top notch pampering. I was outfitted with an ultra-plush robe, slippers and shown to my private locker. As I awaited my first treatment with Michelle I had my pick of the latest magazines titles, chilled water and fine teas.
Treatment one was an organic hydrating scrub followed by a Turkish bath. I've done many treatments over the years.. none quite like this one. The scrub was mild and gentle, just enough to prep the skin. What followed, however, was the most amazing bath. The private chamber (the exact one in the image above) was like a sanctuary. A curved-ceilinged room complete with a raised bubbling, steamy tub and total and complete privacy that allowed the mind to wander.
Michelle made sure I had cool water and fresh fruit on hand, but for the most part I was left alone to enjoy the jetted tub and nearby chaise for full and total relaxation. As busy mommy of a newborn and a 4 year old I can assure you - this chamber of silence was just what the good doctor ordered! It was sensational. The body unwound, the mind emptied of all clutter and my skinfelt ridiculously smooth after the hour had ended.
Afterwards, I was introduced to Linda... a woman I will forever call the Skin Whisperer. A few moments with my face and she quickly and correctly assesed two things: I consume almond cheese (I'm allergic to the "real" stuff) and I had morning sickness during my pregnancy. Her facial was nothing short of amazing, but it was her deep knowledge of skin and the effects of lifestyle and diet upon the complexion that amazed me. I cannot wait to return to her table so she can continue treating my skin. Her touch was gentle, her knowledge extraordinary and my face was glowing and flawless for days after my appointment. True facial bliss.
If you are ever in Dallas you absolutely must check into the Crescent Hotel for the ultimate overnight experience and book your spa appointments in advance. I saw many happy couples while I was there and groups of girlfriends engaged in deep convos between treatments. These were clearly Crescent regulars and I knew immediately that I would become a regular too.
Please note that both of these treatments are available for only $50 thanks to the miracle of SpaWeek. There's also a paraffin wax pedicure to be had for the same fabulously low price. True luxury at a fraction of the normal cost. Spaweek 2012 runs from April 16-22, so don't delay. Go. Escape. Enjoy. I certainly did.

Passionate Pursuit of Excellence
If you listen closely to leaders, entrepreneurs, moguls and admirable people a common theme will ultimately emerge. Excellence. They demand it from themselves, they expect it from their team and they strive to create it with whatever grand idea, innovation or product they are developing. A simple word but a lifelong challenge: the pursuit of excellence.
Immediately names like Steve Jobs (known for his relentless pursuit of perfection) and Richard Branson (who refuses to take no for an answer) come to mind. People for whom "it's not possible" or "it's good enough" readies them for the challenge.
Also look at Alli Webb the founder of DryBar. Do one thing and do it exceptionally well. That's her (and therefore her brand's) goal. Be the best. Accept nothing less. Offer exceptional quality and service. Raise your standards and be far better than anyone else would ever dream should be expected of you.
These thoughts all came to mind as I attended a Nespresso event at one of Dallas's hottest eateries, PrivateSocial. Once in, I had the opportunity to sit with Padma Lakshmi of Top Chef fame. She shared with me why she partnered with the brand and what makes a famous model/author/host/mother/businesswoman choose to add coffee spokesperson to her long list of titles. Her answer was fairly straightforward: excellence.
Listening to her speak about coffee was eye opening. The vocabulary she used and the passion she had for the topic was something I'd only seen among oenophiles. She spoke of varietals and picking the berries (yes, berries... for in face what we call a coffee bean is actually one half of the seed within the delicate berry) at the precise right moment from the right location and roasting them to the unique roasting level that is best for them. Using terms like "science" and "respect" she shared stories on how far and wide Nespresso (a European phenomenon) goes to source the ultimate product. Perfection is the goal.
You'd think it would end there... but as the event went on we had the opportunity to talk to many people from the product team. It was pretty clear that although ceramic glasses and shiny proprietary equipment surrounded us, we we were hardly talking about coffee any longer. They were preaching a different gospel. How to conceive the best idea, execute it flawlessly and deliver it to the right people at the right time. Do one thing and do it exceptionally well. Better than your fans, your competitors, your supporters or anyone else expects from you.
Isn't this the formula for success for every business and - frankly - every life? Be the very best at what you do. Pursue excellence with every fiber of your being. The result in this case was incredible coffee in a very unique delivery system with some of the prettiest packaging and equipment I've seen. But how does this apply to your life? Are you striving to be the very best at what you do in life? In excellence your goal?
If not, take this moment to shift your focus. Decide to be unreasonably great at your craft, your business, your job, your life.
How did I get this from fabulous food and incredible coffee? Because it was clear that excellence was the goal of the PR team, the brand leaders, Padma, Master Chef Tiffany Derry and all of those involved. Passion for excellence is impossible to hide and always shines through.
Pursue excellence and don't settle for anything less in your life. Ever.
I'd like to graciously thank the Nespresso team for the invitation and the incredible products they shared with us. Thank you for a reminder to be truly great at even the finer details of my craft. True greatness is all in the details after all.Posted at 07:45 AM in celebrities, dallas, design, entertaining, events, glamorous gifts, success, technology, the venti challenge | Permalink | Comments (2) | TrackBack (0)

Bold in Black & White: Kate Spade
While I'm not your typical full blown Kate Spade fan, I do love her ability to consistently churn out poppy, happy items. Her latest foray into home goods that serve up Jonathan Adler-worthy "anti-depressive" items is her Florence Broadhurst collection. Be sure to check out the full décor shop to see just how positively cheerful this basic pairing of colors can be when used to display Japanese blossoms. It's downright giddy if you ask me!
My pick? The tableware, of course. And while there is no espresso cup available, I love the idea of adding these "tidbit" plates to serving arsenal for a party.Posted at 08:27 AM in celebrities, cooking, cuisine, designers, fashion, glamorous gifts, great gifts, home accessories, shopping, style | Permalink | Comments (1) | TrackBack (0)

Scent of Attraction
Ahhh, fragrance. Is there any faster way to alter a mood and a mindset? I think not. While there are as many different scents out there as there are preferences, one thing is certain: finding one that speaks to you and "moves" you is key.
One think many women (and men) overlook is the variety of methods for applying personal fragrance. Are you a scented powder kid of girl, a solid parfum person or a body oil babe? The difference in quality and enjoyment of the fragrance based upon the application might surprise and delight you.
I find it most rewarding to layer my scents, thereby creating my own unique fragrance. Try this: Bobbi Brown's Beach Oil followed by Gucci II eau de toilette (now discontinued, but I have my own stash!) with a dab of Tocca Brigitte solid perfume on the insides of your wrist. Result: aromatic intoxication... in the best possible way.
For the uninitiated... don't miss out on one of life's true great pleasures. Frédéric Malle's line of fragrances is a mesmerizing blend of high-tech innovation and the best natural extractions of exotic (and familiar) essences. Introductions like Carnal Flower are impossible to describe in words. Suffice it to say, the 18 lengthy months it took to create the fragrance was well worth it. You (and your romantic interest) will be thrilled you experimented with this mind blowing aroma. It's like nothing you've ever tried before. Rush to your local Barneys counter and sample the goods. It's worth the effort.
The best tip I can offer you about selecting your own unique fragrance is this: choose on that YOU love. Never wear a fragrance for someone else. If it makes you feel romantic or powerful or sophisticated or dangerous... if it moves you, alters your state and makes you feel amazing: by all means wear it! Remember nothing is as appealing as confidence, and when you find your small stable of mood altering scents consider yourself armed for any challenge life (or love) may toss your way.

Pet Beds for Fashion Forward Fido
Frankly, I haven't seen many advancements in the pet bed industry. I've seen better looking pillows and more plush fabrics used for those "domes" we all see... but nothing previously on the market was upscale enough to place next to your high end home furnishings.
I'm happy to say that I now stand corrected. On my desk is a lovely book of sample photography and information on designer Katherine Elizabeth's Pet Design Furniture. She calls it furniture because, quite frankly, it is furniture for your home that happens to accommodate dear Fido. This is no simple plump pillow with a bolster surround that you place on the floor of your laundry room. These are elevated, custom finished pieces made of wood strong enough to support up to 200lbs of puppy love. These oval-shaped creations are crafted of a double wall of bendable wood elevated, mounted on a solid wood base over turned wood legs. Each piece is easily handsome enough to earn a space in your stylish living room. So good looking, in fact, that it'd be a shame to hide it in a back room.
Beds can be built to your specifications. Each one goes through a minimum of a 12 hour construction and finishing process. You'll choose your wood finish, your upholstery and may even opt for additional customization. Pillows and bedding are non-toxic and organic (as we've come to expect) and the unique Kapok filler makes the bed uniquely buoyant. Why does that matter? It offers your precious pet special skeletal support and comfort for muscular conditions as well as allergies. (Kapok fiber is also particularly water and mold resistant, great for those of us obsessed with clean!)
Check out Elizabeth's twitter feed and Facebook page to see some amazing hand-painted options. This is ideal for those of you looking for an even more unique piece (as I believe many clients at this end of the design range will be). There are really remarkable creations.
Designers, there is info here on opening a wholesale account. I can say with certainty that your clients will be happy with quality options like these. Shopping your yourself? You may purchase them directly by getting in touch with KE Pet Designs or visiting one of these lovely stores. A portion of all sales go to The Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), whose mission is to provide care and dignity to homeless pets while finding them loving homes.

Words With Friends... The Old School Edition
It's fascinating to me that in a texting, BBM'ing world we also relish and celebrate the beauty of stationery. I do think it's possible, though, that we love the artistry, nostalgia and idea of beautiful papergoods and handwritten notes more than we relish the actual use of them. We love to fawn over letterpress on Etsy and the newest designer collabs at establish stationers... but the number of handwritten notes I receive (and send, frankly) clearly absolutely decreased. In the meantime, my inbox runneth over.
Does that stop me (or any of us) from coverting limited edition creations like Oscar de la Renta's new Mrs. John L Strong produced line of stationery? Not a chance. Will it dampen my desire for Vreeland's (that being Alexander Vreeland... grandson to undisputed fashion icon Diana Vreeland) Special Edition Card Set available exclusively at Barney's. Never.
Just two days ago, in fact, I placed my order for custom Crane's note cards and personalized envelopes. I do this each year, always with a slight twist on my normal design. It's an expression of self and always a personal journey to create something that reflects my mood or current style. Somehow the pretty box with custom papers bearing my name actually prompts me to write little notes. It's the letter writing equivalent of having a TotalGym in your bedroom. You invested in it, and to not use it is a waste of time and money.
And now, with even more glamorous sets like Oscar's on the scene I may find myself placing an additional order. The de la Renta paper goods assortment features glamorous sets of individually hand-pressed pieces printed on luxury weight creamy paper. Choose from note cards, invitations, and place cards - each featuring beautifully embossed gilded bows and the designer's emblem on the inside of the envelopes. How positively irresistible is that? For the ladylike among us, these glamorous little notes are the perfect way of inviting friends for a fete or simply saying thank you.
(Editor's tip: since these aren't personalized, they make an ideal last minute holiday gift for that stylish friend, sister or loved one.)
Shop for yours at Oscar de la Renta.

Venti Girl Holiday Gift Guide: The Globetrotter
I can think of few things better for a travel buff than a well-written city guide. Luxe City Guides are some of the best I've seen. It's like having a private tour of the city by a very in-the-know friend who knows everyone who's anyone. Prepare to be thanked repeatedly for your savvy choice when you spring for one of the boxed sets. My personal favorite is the European Grant Tour collection featuring the latest and greatest on London, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid, Istanbul and Florence. It comes in an iridescent peacock teal and bitter chocolate velvet flock box and is packed full of quality insider scoop on the eight most beloved cities in Europe. Not bad for $75!

Venti Girl Holiday Gift Guide: The Scent-sational Sibling
Ahhh, home fragrances. We all want something different from them. Some long for their homes to smell of fresh baked cookies. Others pine for the scent of the great outdoors. I tend to gravitate towards citrus-y scents in summer and spring, and warmer more enveloping fragrances during cooler temps.
On my olfactory senses now: NEST's Pumpkin Chai candle. Oh, my, goodness. By name alone I'd never think this would be my fragrance, but somehow the notes come together to create this seductive aroma that I cannot get enough of right now.
If you have a hard to shop for sister or an even choosier brother, it's hard to go wrong with a prettily packaged candle. I imagine they will swoon for the scent as much as I... but if not, the posh packaging makes it easy as pie for them to add to their regifting closet. And really, isn't that a win-win proposition for us all?

Venti Girl Holiday Gift Guide: The Posh Princess
As a general rule I frown upon gifts that tell a recipient how to dress or how to decorate their homes. The idea of giving clothing to an adult or offering someone some form of home decor seems very imposing and assuming.
There are a few exceptions, however. If you're giving the gift to a love interest or very, very good friend whose taste (or burning desire) you absolutely know, then by all means forge ahead. In this case, the Vanessa Knox one-shoulder, curve hugging knit top is one such item that your favorite fashionable female would be hard pressed to refuse.
Designed with Grecian styling in a buttery soft jersey rib, this flattering silhouette creates a sexy look for night out glamour. I love it best in violet or mouse, but charcoal offers far more versatility. For added drama she might pair this with an arm full of bangles, tousled hair and skinny black pants. As gift-giver you might consider some dramatic earrings to top off the look. Caution: she (and you) should brace yourselves for compliments from this fabulous wardrobe addition. It's attention you both are likely to enjoy all season long.

Venti Girl Holiday Gift Guide: The Man Who Has It All
According to my husband, a man who arrives a ta certain status in life must develop a robust knowledge and expertise of one or more of the following: good scotch, hunting, cigars, fine watches or golf. Since I'd be hard pressed to select the right set of clubs for him, and the cigars, hunting and scotch are best shared with fellow males, that leaves me with the lovely task of admiring pretty timepieces.
The latest in my long list of potential candidates is the Ball Trainmaster One Hundred Twenty. Much like my husband, it has classic styling with modern functionality. According to Luxist, this collector's edition luxe watch features a "very shock resistant and antimagnetic case (here in 18k rose gold and 39.5mm wide), as well as use of tritium gas tubes in the hour markers and hands. These tubes are filled with a naturally glowing material for perfect darkness reading for about two decades before the light begins to dim."
Why he'll love it: he'll be able to see the time in the dark of the night and can knock this around without fear of it losing its functionality or handsome good looks.
What I like about it: it's handsome, yet pretty. The clean face features sapphire crystal and is attached to wither a brown or black crocodile strap.
What I'm afraid to discover: the price. I've not seen the actual list price listed online anywhere.

Venti Girl Holiday Gift Guide: The Multitasker
As you may know, even though I have a young daughter I am opposed to the concept of "diaper bags" or other child specific bags. Why, you ask? I discovered immediately that (at least for me) it was completely unnecessary. What I should have purchased (and ultimately did) was a large, high quality handbag that could be worn multiple ways. Hand held (for those rare situations where I had a free hand or was able to go out on my own, sans bébé), on the shoulder (for times when I had at least one free hand) and cross-body (arguably the most convenient position to wear a bag in, so long as you can find one with a beautiful strap and just the right "drop").
Knowing what I now know, I'm approaching the arrival of #2 with a far more educated approach. This time I want a stunning bag that can be worn multiple ways - yet still be chic enough to use when I'm bopping around the city sans company of little ones. As it turn out, I am not the kind of mom who carries an entire nursery with me when I venture out. What that little one needs most in her life is you and a handful of diapers. Just add few baby-centric necessities to your bag and go on about your day.
Meet my newest multitasking friend, the Chloé Elsie Large Day Bag in Beige. Like every busy woman I know, she does it all with panache. Boasting a sturdy top handle, she also has a detachable shoulder strap, an internal zip-fastening pocket and is fully lined in a durable olive twill. Because we all need a bit of shimmer in our lives, she has glorious gold hardware accents including an eye-catching turn lock-fastening cutout clasp at the front flap. She'll take you from design appointment to doctor's visit without skipping a beat.
And isn't a versatile element in your wardrobe the best kind of luxury one can ask for? Trust me, this beauty will prove herself to be a high performer in your closet. I know she'll be pulling double duty in mine.

Venti Girl Holiday Gift Guide: The Gold Digger
Lest ye judge too quickly, this gold digger isn't trying to pry a man's black card from his wallet. Sheearns her keep and is more than happy to purchase her own carefully selected baubles and jewels. This Christmas she plans to add a few new trinkets to her already shiny jewelry box. A vintage Chanel charm bracelet fits the bill (and her dainty wrist) nicely.
This gold-plated beauty hails from Chanel's decadent 80's collection and is sure to brighten her mood whenever she hears the logo adorned charms jingling all the way.

The Wonderful World of Wearstler
Now that we K-Dub fans have caught our collective breath I can showcase some of my favorite pieces from her brand new site. Yes, Kelly Wearstler, polarizing design celebrity, is now selling her goods directly to consumers through her own site. I have to say... go Kelly! I love that she's doing this. More importantly, she is offering accessories and an impressive little collection of RTW as well. Most silhouettes are easy, breezy, flowy shapes. Great if you have Wearstler's stilt-like legs. For petite princesses like myself, this fitted black mini Chevron Dress is the key to sophistication. Add a conversation starting bracelet and snag a piece of jewelry for your home and - viola! - you've entered the wonderful world of Wearstler. Let it be known that I approve.

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Thrill-Seeker
It's really a shame that the ocelot pattern has become the hallmark of the Cougar. For some of us, it's just a pretty pattern that's now considered taboo (or at the very least, misleading) to wear. If your girl is willing to risk being mistaken for a maneating predator, she may delight in the thrill of this fantastic YSL wool & cashmere scarf. In case of pursuit by a young shirtless man, tell her to focus her gaze upon him and threaten to bare her claws. That ought to frighten him back to his pack and out of "harm's" way. Rowr.

Show Me Your Dallas, Elaine Williamson
Elaine Williamson. Where do I begin? I'll start with saying we had far too little time together on our morning excursion. We met at our favorite Starbucks (turns out we don't live so far away from one another) and got so caught up talking - and I mean REALLY talking - that the morning began to slip away faster than you can say doppio espresso.
Elaine is something of a design phenomenon. Though she'll downplay her success, she runs a widely recognized design business. Elaine Williamson Designs is a full service luxury interior design firm, and this girl has mad skills. She and her team have been winning accolades and awards (not to mention happy clients) for two decades. It's no wonder she boasts such a broad Texan smile, she has many stylish reasons to be happy.
Beyond that (and sorry, E, but someone has to toot your horn. Beep! Beep!) she's as genuinely nice as a person can be. After each of these outings I leave thrilled to have met another incredible female, but Elaine might truly be the winner of the Venti Bestie Award (note to self: design said award certificate). Although we'd met a time or two before in High Point, this was our first real "girl to girl" moment together. We instinctively gabbed like long lost pals and spent a good hour or so dishing up on everything under the sun. (Seriously, Elaine - where have you been all of my adult life? I desperately needed those laughs and frank conversations.)
Once we'd reached optimum caffeine levels she led me down the street to The Shops at Starwood. This lovely little shopping destination is a regular haunt of mine. The Cupcakery, Paper Affair, Panache, Green Peridot and others make up a select group of merchants occupying space at this glamorous center. My husband and I regularly pop in for some of the area's best sushi at Kotta. Something about The Shops always makes me think of Scottsdale, Arizona. Palm trees swaying overhead, barrel tile roofs and a specific shade (putty?) of stucco romance me in ways that only destination shopping can do.
Where did she lead me? An adorable children's boutique called Dimples and Dandelions. Interestingly, I knew of the shop before moving to the area. They have a terrific web presence and I've been an online customer for years. But stepping into the boutique took my shopping experience to an entirely new level.
The husband & wife owners Wendy and Michael are very selective with the brands they choose to carry and the products on display. Finely crafted beds, unique gifts and some of the prettiest clothing I've seen occupy this glamorous little boutique. It is well merchandised, beautifully presented and just so lovingly presented.
Wendy's interior design background is obvious from floor to ceiling. Sparkling chandeliers and thoughtful design details make this boutique an enchanting place to visit. I genuinely love this store. My favorite feature? In the back corner there is a children's lounge outfitted with toys, an LCD television and an antique settee. Between this feature and the attentive staff a busy mom can almost always get some actual shopping done. Smart.
During our visit I had the pleasure of meeting Wendy in person. She's as gracious and friendly as the rest of her staff. I can see why this boutique is bustling with customers every time I visit. Good customer service is hard to find, and her team offers personal attention far beyond what is expected. {By the way, they are in the running for Best Children's Boutique in Dallas by D Magazine. If you're a fan, be sure to vote!}
Elaine... I had the most lovely time out with you. Next time let's add lunch to our itinerary to fuel us for the day ahead. We've got much more to chat about and I think some fine food is in order to celebrate our blossoming friendship. Thank you again for showing me your Dallas!

Next Stop: StellaDallas
After a fun breakfast with Beth Dotolo I popped into StellaDallas. It's the kind of shop you pass constantly, as it faces busy Lover's Lane. The catch is, you have to time it just right to snag a parking space. Today was my lucky day, and I was greeted by owner Amber Davidson.
This little gem of a shop is a goldmine of wonderful things. Vintage tables sit alongside luxurious John Robshaw pillows and scarves (fresh arrivals, by the way). Carefully chosen items from Missoni and Russel + Hazel are just a few of the brands you'll find in this colorful little shop. Honestly, it's a shame it tool me this long to pull in and check it out. The entire back of the store is brimming with gorgeous paper goods (cards, journals, notebooks etc) and so beautifully merchandised you can't help but touch it all.
The front two thirds of the shop is the real showstopper though. One of a kind cabinets and art sit alongside colorful linens. A bank of pillows line one of the side walls. Murano glass chandeliers and vintage fixtures dangle overhead. And I haven't even touched upon the sofas, beds and tables that pepper the scene. (Shhh...Don't tell anyone, but this is THE place for pretty lamps guaranteed to add a fresh look to any room.)
The entire store is colorful in a jewelbox kind of way - but it's all so touchable and approachable. Read more about Amber's fabulous shop and be sure to swing by next time you're in town. 4346 Lovers Ln. Dallas, Texas. 214-691-0000. ShopStellaDallas.com

Ippolita Rocks
I woke up to the wonderful news that I'd won yesterday's Ippolita Twitter giveaway. Familiar with this brand? You should be. I find myself mesmerized by the jewel tones glistening at the counter at Neiman Marcus. It is an incredible brand with collections that conjur up images of kings and queens of Ancient Sumeria's Ur adorning themselves without restraint. (If you've not brushed up on ancient Mesopotamian civilizations... this is one you won't want to overlook.)
While I've no clue what I might have won, I wanted to showcase some of my favorite pieces from the line. If you still need a Valentine's Day gift for yourself (doesn't every girl do this?), bop on over to their site for something undeniably pretty. And thanks to this amazing brand for their generous gift... whatever it may be!

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Provider
He'd give you the sun, moon and stars if he could (and in many ways he has). Make this holiday special with the first in a long line of custom business shirts from bespoke clothier J. Hilburn. Designed specifically to fit his broad shoulders and bulging biceps (there's a reason athletes flock to this brand) and exacting tastes, it will soon become the only brand he'll wear. Custom pleats, collars and buttons are all part of this truly personalized apparel experience. Much like your beau, there's nothing average or off-the-rack about this fine line of menswear. It is just the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail he's applied to his business for years. While he's off building his commercial empire you'll be building his wardrobe, one fabulous french cuff at a time.

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Venti Girl (Part Deux)
Try as she might, the Venti Girl can't shake her craving for the luxe appeal of mink. Pure, soft, supple mink against her skin on those chilly winter days just brings a smile to her face. Adorn her with these Stephen Sprouse designed earmuffs (or even more gorgeous mink stole) to help her fend off the winter wind while still maintaining her glam. Like all wonderful things, these leopard print Louis Vuitton beauties are limited edition and likely to sell out soon. Better have them wrapped up quickly. Those brown boxes sell out fast during the holidays.

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Venti Girl
Shopping for the Venti Girl? Fabulous! Her list is concise and to the point. Pay special attention to the finer details on that handwritten letter she mailed St. Nick. Rushing in at the #1 spot is the Fuji White 2011 Range Rover. Supercharged, of course. You might wonder why she needs a 5.0 liter V8 510 horsepower engine just to get to her neighborhood Starbucks. A girl does need her Venti cup though, and there's no telling what obstacles she'll need to tackle as she emerges from her tony little gated community. That chromed out front grill and fat 20" diamond turned 6-spoke wheels are all business. The business of style, that is. This distinctively chic ride with Arabica Ivory Oxford leather seats, 19-speaker harmon/kardon® surround sound system and rear seat entertainment system are exactly what she needs to get her precious toddler to the Montessori school on time. True, the only tundras she'll be rolling over is the Toyota in front of her in carpool, but life is an adventure and the Venti girl is always, always prepared for the ride.

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Hostess
You're too sophisticated to make the rookie mistake of busying the host's hands with a bouquet of flowers or a sad platter of crudités selected en route to the party. Instead, you demonstrate your social graciousness with a luxurious Jo Malone candle. Your grateful hostess can then choose whether to light it during the holiday fête for ambient lighting or save it for her post-party bubble bath. Either way, you've earned yourself VIP status at her next invite-only soiree (if for no other reason than the possibility you'll bring another fabulous gift). Lest you think your work as party guest is complete, don't forget your manners. Send a prompt and sincere thank you card post-event and by all means, please RSVP next time.

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Princess
Ahhhh, the princess. Even her adoring family finds gift-giving a challenge for this connoisseur of pretty things. Yet her true desires are simple: she wants exactly what she craves at the very moment the impluse strikes. Empower her with a Neiman Marcus gift card. She can flit about the luxury department store pawing at the very objects that fill her heart with joy. Your only dilemma now is how generous an amount you wish to place on the gift card in question. Fear not, Neiman's only issues them in increments as high as $1000. If her royal highness wishes for more she'll need to add some gold or platinum of her own to the countertop. Happiness knows no price, after all.

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The City Girl
This season, nothing says "I never leave the city limits" more than an oversized fur hat. The larger the chapeau, the less likely it is the wearer has ever placed a pedicured foot off the city pavement. And why should she, when everything a girl could ever want is within easy distance of her penthouse? This holiday, treat her to the largest topper you can find. We suggest the Adrienne Landau oversized raccoon beret found exclusively at Intermix. She'll wear it without irony as she braves the chill to meet you for lunch at the latest Alain Ducasse eatery. Never mind that it's hovering around 50 degrees that day. Don't be alarmed if she's also adorning dear MItzi in a similar topper. Cant' risk the poor little pup catching a winter cold now, can we?

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Alpha Female
She doesn't just enter a room, she changes the very energy of the space simply by entering. It's women like her for whom the Louboutin Misfit sandals were imagined. Six inches of aggressive black leather and suede with a 1.5" platform. Yes, these shoes are the perfect match for this force of nature we call the Alpha female. Opinionated and strong, she isn't everyone's cup of tea. Lest you think her bold persona makes her cold and heartless, the ruffled fronts and flirty tassles of these gorgeous shoes remind you that she's all woman. And as she walks away, leaving the meek in her dust, she flashes glimpses at those coveted red soles. These aren't so much shoes, but a statement about the woman herself. She's fearless, fabulous and ready to conquer the world - one glamorous step at a time.

Venti Girl Gift Guide: The Voyager
Nomadic at heart, this girl's passport has seen more action than an all-star NBA team. Whether she's sipping a demitasse of Turkish coffee floating down the Bosphorus or hiking to the southern most tip of Argentina, her adventurous spirit is always in search of the great unknown. Like any seasoned explorer, she's mastered the art of traveling light. Her secret? Quality over quantity. Satisfy her quest for the best with this Louis Vuitton Cotteville 40 hardsided suitcase. Don't be fooled by its compact silhouette. This luxurious trunk boasts more interior space than certain transatlantic cruise cabins. But don't hold out hope that she'll pack it full of kitschy souvenirs. Your wanderlusting friend will insist you circumnavigate the globe in quest of your own treasured objects.
