Things That Make Me Happy
Sometimes it's the little things in life, right? The perfect shade of pink for a pedicure. High-heeled boots that ensure your jeans hit at just the right spot. A fabulous blowout at DryBar (and the lingering scent of those fabulous Moroccan Oil products that is a lovely result of said blowout). It can be anything, really. It's all about discovering what pleasures truly make you happy.
With fall approaching I feel a renewed desire to feather my nest and edit my life simultaneously. These might seem incongruous, as one means adding and the other requires eliminating waste. But for me this means whittling my possessions down to the best - and only the best - then filling in blanks where necessary or desired.
Amazing sheets, while an investment, are worthy the time and resources necessary to obtain. So too is a body wash that offers a frothy lather and an intoxicating aroma. Here, dear readers, are just a few things that float my Venti boat right now. Look for this to be a recurring feature. Hopefully you'll share a few of your favorites too.
Let's begin with Butter London Polish in the most fetching shade of glossy pink. They call it "Cake Hole" and I call it perfection. Although Restoration's 464 Percale are supremely fabulous, nothing quite tops crisp Italian long-staple cotton. Sferra Sheets in white, glorious white, offer a guaranteed dreamy night of sleep. And lucky me... I just discovered my ideal black leather fall booties with pitch perfect heel height & design.
This yummy Pearson gilded etagere is a necessity for my glorious design books & decorative accessories. Glam functionality, baby! I long to share with you that my Molton Brown bodywash in "Yuan Zhi" is liquid heaven you MUST try. I can't stop using it and I am seriously considering adding the lotion to my morning ritual.
And of course... Linda Farrow oversized black acetate glasses allow this busy mama to rock a slightly mysterious look everywhere I go. And that, dear readers, makes me happy.
