2013... I'm coming for you. My "word" of the year? Receive. Not take... receive. I believe we often push away opportunities and goodness for myriad reasons. So this year I'm unshackling myself and not just allowing but INVITING all of that goodness and wonder to come into my life. You might consider doing the same.

But don't just wallow and wait.Write is down. Make an afternoon of this task. Buy anew notebook, a special pen. Write every tiny little thing you want, wish and pine for down. Write furiously and feverishly. No judging. No negative self-talk. No bouts of "how could that happen?" may enter the mind. Just write. Allow your deepest desires to pour forth and land on page after page of this notebook. Offer details, scents, scenes, colors... details. Write out the life you wish to live. The person you wish to be and the places you wish to go. 

Put it "out there" and don't spend a moment doubting its possibility. I assure you, there is magic in this activity. 

Now.... go forth and DO IT. Buy that notebook today and prepare to fully enjoy this excercise. Then... allow yourself the gift of receiving that goodness into your life.
