Bon Weekend!
It's January in Texas which means it's overcast but a tolerable and enjoyable 50 degrees. Winters down here are blissfully mild!
What does the weekend hold in store? We'll be leaving for Paris today. Paris, Texas actually. Sorry for the tease, but this trip is to do something equally foreign to me. In fact, I've begun speaking a new language that includes phrases like "grass-fed" and "pastured."
Why to trip? We're headed to a working ranch to procure beef, dairy & bison straight from the source. It should be fun and will likely become something we do each month. It may not be the Paris I love the most, but I'm thinking it'll make for an adventurous Saturday afternoon.
There's also a bit of client work to be done, fabric selections to be made, sourcing to be done and general playtime to be enjoyed.
And you? What do you have in store this weekend?

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! A lot of bloggers are talking about "eating less meat" in 2013, so glad to see someone talking about eating meat, but responsibly! So many people don't know there's an alternative to being a vegetarian or eating factory farm meat. Loved your blog before, love it even more now!

So glad to hear about your adventure this weekend. We have been doing the same in upstate New York for years now. It makes a BIG difference in many ways to source meat locally. I only wish more people had the opportunity. And as for this weekend we had a blast sledding in the snow!

I would love to find a local(ish) grass-fed provider. That's so awesome!
