The Venti Gift Guide: The Stylesetter

An avid student of design, the stylesetter in your life devours style books like it's, well, going out of style. While she may appear to merely collect those pretty hardback coffee table books, rest assured she's studying them as if a style final loomed in the not too distant future. Among those who collect such beautifully bound treasures, one truth rings true: you can indeed judge a book by its cover.

Be they gold and shiny (as is the case with this lovely homage to the Fendi Baguette) or oversized in a glossy pink jacket like IMPACT, the look of a book does matter. Fortunately, Rizzoli and a handful of other publishing companies understand this and dish out lovely covers as well as dazzling content.

Let me share a few of my favorite titles and urge you to stack a few of these (carefully, please) beneath the tree for the fashionable one in your life.

Bazaar Greatest Hits // Windows at Bergdorf Goodman // 100 Unforgettable Dresses // Louis Vuitton / Marc Jacobs // Dior Couture // Christian Louboutin // Fendi Baguette // Lanvin // Tom Ford // Jimmy Choo

This is far from a complete list, but I urge you to look for large scale books (for visual drama), hardbound (of course) and 250-300 or more pages. You aren't giving a book, you're giving a window into a new world. Delight your lucky recipient with a lovingly purchased tome they'll cherish for years to come.

What the beautiful people are saying...

Something to say, gorgeous?
