The Best of The Wearst
I'm not always on the Kelly Wearstler fan bandwagon. I love some things, can live without others. That said, I do concede that everything she does speaks volumes of her design confidence. She truly and absolutely trusts her instincts and her design prowess. And it works.
Just look at this impressive Bel Air home she designed for a California family. Look how grand this foyer reads. There's a stunning gold & glass Pedro Friedeberg table centered beneath a beautiful Jean de Merry chandelier. And while each detail of the room is lovely, I think the floor is one of the most magical moments in the space. Just look at the inlaid floor with contrasting marble segments. Powerful.
Kelly's designs (like the designer herself) are bold, retro, modern and sexy. Her work always - without fail - offers her unique point of view. I love that this project allowed her to highlight her client's impressive art collection. There are not merely furnishings, these are cherished possessions and items of true value (sentimental and financial). I suspect that the homeowners are thrilled with the results of the talented Mrs. Wearstler.See the rest of this magnificent residential project on ArchDigest. It's worth a tour!
