French Modern
I fancy myself a modern girl in every sense of the word. But the truth is, I'm a traditionalist. I like classic stylings and time-tested designs. This doesn't mean that the result itself can't be entirely new. As I continue to explore my own aesthetic and evolve into the new me, I realize that I my preferred style can indeed be defined as modern. French modern, to be exact.
A quick search of this will lead you to the work of greats like Jan Showers and Suzanne Kasler who also lean in to this description. We love our bergeres and our French settees and rarely meet a gilded table we don't love. This is certainly good company to keep, and the resulting look is a delicious balance of historic goodness and brand new sparkle. In my mind, those are always welcome elements in a room!
