It's hard to believe I'm leaving next week for High Point Market. The furniture and home interiors industry puts on a show like nobody's business. Like fashion week, it happens twice a year and is not to be missed. Interior designer, product designers, design enthusiasts and reps all converge upon this charming southern city for a week (or at least a few days) to see what's new to the marketplace.

For those of you headed there with me, don't miss the amazing Insider's Guide to Market that we've built on the Pearson blog. There you will find everything you could possibly need to know. Between this and the crazy good info being doled out by the High Point Market Authority, you're sure to hit the ground running like a pro.

For those of you that don't know, I'm the social media person for Pearson Furniture, a luxury furniture brand in High Point. That's right.

When I'm not attending Rizzoli events or visiting other showrooms you'll likely find me with Jennifer McConnell, the VP of Creative for Pearson. She has some unbelievable new introductions this season (as she always does) and ALWAYS knows how to wow the crowds with her eye for style and her imaginative use of color, texture and scale. Jennifer has design talent that cannot be missed. You MUST go see what's happening at Pearson. Just trust me on this one.

What I'm also SUPER excited about this Market is spending time at showrooms of some of Pearson's sister brands. Maitland-Smith & Henredon are two incredible brands. They have invited me to take tours of their newest introductions and classic favorites during my upcoming trip. I've been to each showroom several times before but am really excited about seeing them again. It's been about 18 months since I made it to High Point. I'm long overdue for seeing them!

Another personal favorite is Drexel-Heritage. I can't explain it, but I LOVE Drexel. If I could magically snap my fingers and have this table appear in my life I'd be over the moon.

And of course... Hickory Chair! *sigh* bloggers & designers alike love Hickory. So if you're going, I'm sure I'll bump into many of you perusing the latest looks from this iconic brand.

If you've been reading for a while (2006, anyone?), you'll know that I love spending my time in the Hamilton-Wrenn district. The Carolina weather is always a delight, and I like to be out in the open air as much as possible. Pearson & Hickory are in this posh little open-air area. Come and find me and we'll stroll the little boutiques and chic showrooms together. I look forward to seeing all of you!
