A Pinch of Salt
I have several shopping addictions. Well, better phrased: I have key items I love to purchase again and again in myriad variations. One of those items is the cream, wool winter coat. Impractical? Maybe. Stunning? You bet.
This sea salt version from J. Crew is begging me to order her. I love the Napoleonic touch of the brass buttons and double-breasted front with belted waist. Feminine and regal. This one is impeccably fitted and hits at mid-thigh, making it sensible for maneuvering in and out of the car. My guess is that this beauty is supple and smooth. The wool comes exclusively from Italy's Manifattura di Carmignano mill, known for it's luxuriously soft woolen fabrics.
It even comes in... petite, meaning it will actually fit me. I may not have success with jeans or pants at J. Crew... but I know I can order a petite jacket or dress from them and it will fit just right every single time. Their jackets and coats have impeccable fit are always look as though I've had them custom crafted by my own Savile Row tailor. Remember - especially for petites - fit is everything.
Also worth noting: this comes in Royal Purple, Flame Red and a gorgeous saffron shade...

Thanks for this read mate. Well, this is my first visit to your blog! But I admire the precious time and effort you put into it, especially into interesting articles you share here!

I love this! I always like J.Crew coats; unfortunately, I'm too large in the bus for their sizing. (Hint hint, J.Crew, increase your sizes...)

Amy, yes, they are NOT for the busty. The J. Crew "body" seems to be hipless, and boobless. Ha!
I've completely given up on their pants. Not a huge loss as they are typically quite casual. I do, however, wish their skirts were more contoured.
I'm not lacking upstairs, but thankfully I like my tops to fit tight up top (especially beneficial for their strapless dresses).
Fortunately: accessories and bags are always available!

I'm a crack head for white/cream coats too :) They are so chic. I'm ready for this 103 degree Louisiana temperature to go away so I can wear it!!
