Pinking
Among my growing list of accomplishments (that is... things I intend to accomplish in this brief, wonderful life) is to live in a home where my master closet so supremely dreamy that it pays homage the work of Jamie Drake. The space will be bright, light and colorful. Jamie, a designer who has never met a color he couldn't tame into submission, is the go-to man for making bold colors choices and dramatic scenes. A closet befitting his handiwork would need to have enough panache and whimsy to make Mariah's closet jealous.
The space I envision would a cheery chandelier, a cushy bench for my besties. High gloss shelves to display my many Choos, Chanels and Vuittons. And yes... color. Yet not so much as to interfere with the contents. I particularly love the lavender space above. I'd make mine slightly more pink and likely have white carpets (yes... I know... completely impractical). I need windows. I want a more dramatic and feminine chandelier. But if you look closely you see tender loving care written all over this space. The nook for the Vuitton suitcase... the lit glass shelving... the box of tissues to wipe away your tears of joy.
Trust me... this closet comes to life, I'll invite you all over to marvel at her beauty! Jamie... I've got your number!

This is a beautiful closet - love the gold masks on the wall. Just the perfect touch of whimsy. Someday Franki, you'll have your closet - I just have a feeling. =) Enjoy the rest of your week.

What a dream! I'd kill for a gorgeous dressing room that looks more like a boutique than a boring old closet. It would make getting dressed each morning so much more fun!

So here's the deal... I get a closet this fab, and I'm throwing the first annual Venti Cup cocktail party in it - and you're all invited. It would - scratch that - WILL be SUCH a good time!

the color and custom details are simply to die for. have you read his book "jamie drake's new american glamour?" i won't pretend to have read it cover to cover but the amount of eye candy in between is outrageous.
