If you've got Burberry pigeon-holed as a buttoned-up brand without edge, think again. Christopher Bailey certainly knows how to add a provocative edge to the house's collections, and has been hard at work giving the brand a modern vibe. But I must admit, their latest foray into to-die-for platforms has me looking at the brand with fresh eyes. In the season's must-have shade of nude, these sexy platforms look surprisingly comfortable. That leather looks buttery soft, and I once had a similar pair of knotted heels and I wore them until they were long worn out.

Naturally, I think they'd look fantastic with - what else? - a classic Burberry Prorsum trench. But that's too easy, and maybe a bit too cliche. On a regular basis I'd rock them with jeans with a slight flare, a crisp white button-up shirt with the collar open to expose a bold statement necklace.
