Sugar Coated
Do any of you recall this lovely coat we discovered last fall via Trust Your Style? Well Lia Lintern is back in a big way this year with custom coats so pretty you may actually look forward to those gusty, cold days. While he designs are pretty, it's her ability (actually, her mere interest) in design custom-fitted apparel that I find most astonishing. For a girl like myself who often considers how much alterations will cost me before making an off-the-rack purchase, Lia's bespoke creations are a thing of wonder. If you're in New York, be sure to RSVP for her New year's event (the ad above also contrains my fave design of the season, the Odessa coat. For more on Lia, I leave you with a snipped of last year's interview with Mary Jo from TYS:
Be sure to check out Lia's site for more info. She's got a lovely online boutique. Stay warm, ladies!I just couldn't help but notice that there was literally a black void in the New York Woman's Fashion wardrobe when it came to winter outdoor apparel. I just couldn't believe that all these fashionable New Yorkers would bundle themselves in big black sleeping bags (you know "that" ubiquitous black coat). So I realized that there really must be a void in the market...I also thought that if there were good coats out there, women would invest in them. Ostensibly, a coat is something that you could put on day after day--like a fabulous pair of shoes. A friend once told me that New Yorkers invest in their shoes like LA-ers invest in their cars...It's all about transportation. But really, shoes are to tires as a coat is to the chassis.. Why wouldn't they invest?

Franki - a custom beauty such as that would only be spectacular. The blue coat is enchanting.
Have a joyous, memorable Christmas and looking forward to the New Year and many more of your terrific posts.

Love the blue coat! The detailing is lovely and oh so feminine. When you stop for a moment it's odd how one just blocks certain things out. NYC is always like a sea of black. It's like being in the matrix.
Franki- Merry Christmas! Wishing you and your lovely family all the best this Holiday season and here's to a fabulous New Year!
Hugs!
