Holiday Giveaway: Win Dr. Perricone's Cold Plasma
UPDATE: We have a winner! Alex of 2ciaos has won! Alex, I'll be getting in touch with your pronto. In the meantime, much thanks to ALL of you for your fabulous beauty secrets, tips and comments. I'll be doing a full review of Cold Plasma to let you know if it is indeed the wonder product we've all dreamed about!
My recent obsession - cashmere and leather goods aside - is glowing, fabulous skin. The first thing you'll notice on the road to tightened pores and a smooth epidermis is that the journey can be quite costly. Frankly, I'm willing to pay nearly any price for flawless skin, and in my experience quality does require an investment. But one does have to be judicious with the brands they trust, and Dr. Perricone is a leader in the skincare field I trust my one and only face with without question.
That said, it is great pleasure I bring you the Life in a Venti Cup Holiday Perricone Promo. One lucky winner will win a full size Dr. Perricone Cold Plasma. This product has been at the top of my "must try" list for about two months now. The skin gods must have been listening to my inner wishes, because the lovely team at Perricone are sending me a sample to try as well (yay!). Here's what the lucky winner and I can expect to see with use of Cold Plasma:
"Formulated with Dr. Perricone's patented delivery system, Cold Plasma addresses the 10 most visible signs of aging: wrinkles, enlarged pores, dryness, discoloration, redness, uneven skin tone, impurities, loss of firmness, loss of smoothness and loss of radiance."
Sounds like exactly what I'm seeking. So, ladies (and metrosexual gents), what are you waiting for? Let's have a contest! To do so, please leave a comment sharing with me your current skincare favorites. Tell me about the bottle you scrape clean because the priceless contents are so good. What do you splurge on that you swear works miracles? Are you Botoxing? What's your most secret of beauty secrets? Are you blessed with good genes and haven't given your skin more than a passing thought? Tell us. We promise not to hate you. :) The contest runs from today until December 24th at midnight CST. That's right. Christmas Eve. The winner will be announced Christmas Day and will receive their Perricone Cold Plasma shortly after. A late, albeit fabulous, gift!
In the meantime, be sure to read more about the product and visit the Perricone blog. Happy Holidays!
{Editorial note: If you haven't yet been hit by the Perricone bug, I suggest you read any one of his best selling books. I've been a devotee of his nutritional methods and dietary beliefs since I cracked the cover of his best selling Ageless Face, Ageless Mind. In short, you can't go around eating prepackaged foods and expect to look like a supermodel. If weight management and feeling vibrant aren't enough to motivate you - maybe a little vanity will be the kick in the pants you need to get with the program. Check out Amazon or your local library for any number of his game-changing books.}

I have to admit that I am definitely into the cheap stuff... but I am very picky about it. I subscribe to a beauty review site and through their recommendations, found my favorite two products - Neutrogena 3-in-1 Hydrating BHA, and Good Skin All Calm sunscreen. Both are so gentle! I have better skin now than when I used to spend a fortune on other brands.

Oooooh. I love this giveaway. I have read Dr. Perricone's book but it was a while ago. I just remember his recommendation about eating more salmon. Now one can't go wrong with that can one? I have not spent a fortune on skincare so far. But I am young and do not have to worry about wrinkling yet. However, I do read a lot of reviews and use Olay regenerist on multiple recommendations. But I agree that we have only one face and I would gladly trade that fabulous Mark Jacobs bag for that ultra expensive cream that works. Right now I am working on reducing my pores and hydrating my skin without breaking out in adult acne. Sigh. Other than that I have upped fat intake in my diet. It helps keep hunger down and skin nourished.
I would really love to try the Perricone cream though. Thanks Franki!

After growing up in Florida, I enjoyed a year round tan but paid the price. Now, living in NY, I take every winter as an opportunity to really make up for past damage. I'm crazy about Boscia products and use a Vitamin C treatment to lighten spots and even tone. I also go nuts for Arbonne's FC5 stuff.... smells like fresh fruit and keeps me hydrated and supple!
Posted by: Corks & Caftans | December 11, 2009 at 09:22 AM
Love the tips! Ive tried the Boscia cleanser, but that is the extent of my experience. And yes, Im a former sun worshipper from the Carolinas. No greater curse than being a great tanner LOL! Good luck, Carey!

What a great giveaway!! I must admit that my skin could use some drastic help. I suffered from eczema last year and had to go cold turkey on all anti-aging products. Now that I'm past the hurdle, I would love to try this fabulous sounding product.

So far I've been lucky enough to keep my skin in great shape with good genes and Eucerin Everday Protection Face Lotion with 30SFP. They have an anti-wrinkle lotion I should probably look into since I love how gentle and effective their products are, but this cold plasma product (while oddly named) sounds like it would work wonders. I hope I win and extend the holidays a bit with one more gift!

I currently use Aveeno products and they work really well for me. I used to use Clinique back when they had the original Turnaround Cream. But they replaced that with this serum that doesn't work as well for me in this dry climate I live in. My skin doesn't glow like it used to, which is a little depressing, so I'd love to try the Cold Plasma!

I love St. Ives apricot scrub every day in the morning. Leaves your face tingling and refreshed. At night I use a cream face wash called Chanel Precision Aquamousse Foaming Cream Face Wash. So light! Then at night and in the morning I make sure to mositurize with any kind of face cream that has collagen. this month I'm using Lanolin and Collagen Face Cream by Wild Ferns. Love this giveaway-hope I win!!!

Ugh I am 3 months pregnant and my face looks like I'm 14 again!! I have always had really good skin but I could really use a booster right now. I generally use Mary Kay's Timewise and I love it!

The number of wrinkles on my face are somehow multiplying and I don't know how or why. I've heard great things about Perricone but it's just a little too expensive :( Would love to win it through this blog!!

I am in love with Origins "A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian." It makes my skin feel like baby skin. During the winter months I also use the Origins "Never Say Dry." I live in the desert and this has kept me hydrated along with a little vaseline and Target brand sun block. Luuuuuuuuuuuuv my skin!

My current favorite skincare favorites are the Shu Uemura cleansing oils (especially with the cute graphics on the bottles) and Caudalie Vinoperfect Moisturizer (it sells heavenly and is great for flaky skin)
Posted by: A Loopy Life | December 12, 2009 at 02:06 AM
well, I am a La Mer gal. I only use the cream however. I really like how the cream keeps my skin super moist during cold winter days. Through my mom, I also discovered La Mer cream is great for bug bites and sunburn and minor scratches. Who know right? Trust me at $230 for 2 oz, I will use up every last bit.

Karen,
I ADORE Vinoperfect. Its a mainstay in my beauty arsenal! And I agree... it smells divine, it moisturizes perfectly and is such a wonder product!

Savvy,
La Mer is next on my list. The more I read, the more I like its natural ingredients and healthy origins. Considering the cost of other products (which offer little to no results) the price doesnt scare me like it used to.

I've got RIDICULOUSLY sensitive skin that alternates between dry and broken out. This winter, I've been really loving the salicylic acid cleanser and spot treatment from Arbonne, tinted moisturizer with SPF from Laura Mercier and Neutrogena exfoliating scrub in the shower. I also throw Retin-A on my breakouts overnight and it dries 'em right up.
Posted by: Bree | December 12, 2009 at 12:06 PM
Bree, lots of Arbonne devotees here Ie noticed! I adore the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I always have a fresh tube of Nude on hand. Its my beauty staple :)

Great giveaway! One of my fave products is Aveeno face moisturizer w/ feverfew. It calms my redness and smells good! :)
Posted by: Jaime Ganson | December 13, 2009 at 12:04 PM
This stuff sounds wonderful. I've been quite loyal to Origins for several years now. Checks and Balances is my favorite cleanser and Modern Friction is great to slough off that dry winter skin.

Since I was laid off I have stared using Boots Protect & Perfect, sold at Target. I really like it but I miss my old splurges.
Posted by: Rhona | December 14, 2009 at 08:50 AM
Rhonda,
Ive actually seen Boots Protect Renew Serum listed as a fave of beauty editors.... I have occasionally tried one or two products from the line (a luminizing moisturizer etc) - sometimes the pricey goods are just hype and the affordable lines are quite good. :)
Posted by: franki durbin | December 14, 2009 at 09:18 AM
WOW. Rock on, Franki! :) Loving this giveaway (and all the tips, too)! My big splurge wasShu Uemura Cleansing Oil. Expensive, but my friend swears by it and promises it will last forever. So far, I am a big fan. It should last at least a year with the one squirt I need each day. It's a great face cleanser, but also works as a light eye make-up remover and is gentle for girls like me with super-sensitive skin.
Posted by: SaraKate | December 14, 2009 at 11:48 AM
Protect&Perfect by Boots is divine and not mindboggling expensive. Also, on an actuall BBC-funded scientifc documentary, this was the only cream that worked with wrinkles while everything else failed. You couldn't get hold of the products for months. The night serum is amazing. You know, if you'd like I can send you the product and you'll tell me what you think. It's Xmas after all and you're my favorite Blogger! Email me. Sorry but for the comp, I live abroad, I'm not eligible!

I swear by Clarins foaming wash, Clarins face SPF, an organic olive oil moisturizer from France (olive & co). Also a diet rich in almonds, veggies and tomatoes. Keeps me from worrying too much about wrinkles -but I'm always open to suggenstions! ;-)

my skin is pretty acne clean (thank the lord!) so I usually don't use much on it...and I also don't tend to wear sunscreen so I know my bad habits are going to bite me when I get older. this product would really help me to get my skin on the right track! Thanks for a great giveaway!
Posted by: Clarissa | December 16, 2009 at 08:19 AM
Clarissa, youve gotta wear the sunscreen honey! I do love honey-hued skin, but my grandmothers skin is nothing short of fabulous... and shes a sunblock devotee.

I am currently in love with Dr. Haushka's normalizing day oil. It's a great light oil (I have oily skin and it actually helps reduce oil production. It's lightweight and moisturizes for the whole day and seeing as I live in Boston, I appreciate that.

I've heard such great things about Perricone's products but have not had the opportunity to try any. This sounds like a great chance! I would love to give Perricone's Cold Plasma a try. Thanks!
Posted by: Keri | December 16, 2009 at 01:27 PM
I would love to try this product. It sounds wondersul!
Thanks for the giveaway.

The only thing that has helped my skin at all is Neutrogena's Deep Clean Gentle Scrub and Perricone MD Advanced Face Firming Activator. Everything else has been a waste of money and time! Because I liked the Face Firming Activator so much I think Cold Plasma would be a great product to use in conjunction with it because it extends the benefits of other products. Count me in!

My skin has become so dry. I guess that is par for the course for my age in the winter but I would love to find a product that can really make a difference.
Posted by: Barbara | December 19, 2009 at 12:22 PM
I use the cheap stuff but have also been blessed with good genes. My mom looks young and I have been told (often) that I look like I am in my mid-twenties (even though I am 37). I also stay out of the sun no tan for me :)
Posted by: Christie-Lee | December 20, 2009 at 10:34 AM
I am plagued with horrible skin... :( currently I am on Accutane and actually having great results. I also suffer from fine lines and wrinkles. Before Accutane I was using philosophy products and liking the way they moisturized my skin. I have been eying Perricone products for some time now, and I would love to win this product.

I feel like my face has fallen and it can't get up. I am 52 and always had pretty good skin, dove and noxema were about it. Not anymore, I have no idea what works and am tired of wasting money and I don't want to use animal tested product on my vanity. Help me.

I too love the Arbonne products, and use the anti aging regime. I also found out I have rosacea, so that has put a damper on my routine. So I am exploring controlling rosacea with diet and other skin care alternatives, would love to try Plasma! I am 48, and holding!
Posted by: kathy | December 21, 2009 at 10:20 AM
Oh and Amber-I really understand what you are saying-at my age, everything that used to work, does not! I need help too!!
Posted by: kathy | December 21, 2009 at 10:22 AM
What an amazing giveaway! I am currently using La Roche Possey, but I switch WAY too often...I loved reading what others are using!
Posted by: Ali | December 21, 2009 at 06:29 PM
For my night time cleanser I used good old Cetaphil, followed by a moisturizing eye cream (using a Lancome one right now) and prescription Retin A followed by a moisturizer (La Mer cream right now). In the mornings I like to use an exfoliating wash (some Olay one right now) and am loving the Kate Somerville eye cream. Would love to try the Plasma! Thanks!
