Kim Cattrall, my favorite saucy blonde bombshell, was the special guest at the Park Avenue D. Porthault boutique last night. Our saucy vixen happens to be a close personal friend of the owners and she may very well be responsible for the resurgence of the popular "le tigre" print. The sexy linens will make an appearance in Samantha's home in SATC2. Kim was so taken with the fabric that she felt it was right at home in her character's on-screen life. What an interesting place in her career - to be able to influence the set designers to such a degree! The chic affair wasn't just to shine the light on the lovely Kim, however. Another glamorous girl was being fussed over as well. Owner Joan Carl was being celebrated for her general fabulousness and for receiving Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur. What's that, you ask? From what I can gather, it one of the highest levels of recognition possible by the French government. Tres chic! She and a very select group of women received the award last week in D. C.
