A vision in Lavender

Monaco Tate Scene Enlarged Monaco Silho Enlarged For those of us not living in the charmed principality on the French Riviera, we can at least cling to the idea of these lovely tufted pieces from Kat Burki home furnishings. I'm tickled by the idea of her lavender leather Monaco chair. It seems absurd in concept until you see it in the photo. Somehow it assumes an almost classic appearance in the scene above. The more I gaze at it, the more I crave one in the corner of my master bedroom. It looks like the perfect place to put on heels before going out. Or to take your time putting on your earrings and lotion. Something about the color does more than just sell the piece itself... it sells a lifestyle. It transports you and makes you want to live in that "I'm headed out to a fête on a friend's yacht, care to join me?" mentality. After all, isn't that how we imagine life is in Monte Carlo?

Something to say, gorgeous?...
