Rebel, Rebel.
It's been hovering near 100 degrees for days on end. In order to play outside you'd need to do so before 8am or after 8pm. That is if you hope to feel comfortable. I'm not exaggerating. And this isn't the blissfully dry heat of the desert. No. This comes brimming with oppressive humidity. I liken it to being wrapped in a wet wool blanket each time I step outside.
Instead of frolicking in the sunshine of the season I find myself hiding indoors for hours at a time. After just a week I'm beginning to feel like a caged animal. I want to run. I want to play. I want t swim. I want to feel the wind on my face and the cool breeze of the surf blowing my hair. I want to rebel against the weather itself. Futile? Yes. But my feelings are no less genuine.
What do I want? Well if I must be in the heat, at least let me be lounging in this scenic location. But ideally I'd be overlooking the ocean.
Tell me, dear weather gods. When will you relent?

it's still not bad in so cal. but in a month or two, i'd be hiding after 9 am too.

Let's move to So Cal! We're having a few nice days here in the London burbs, in the 25Celcius and it gives me so must zest for life and puts a smile on my face!
Though my husband says that the 10 day annual leave in the US is a deal-breaker compared to the 25 here.

No kidding. Early morning walks/run are the only solution. Inside after 11 am. I'm not even tempted to dine al fresco.
