Although we cook on the grill year-round, there's something about summer that ratchets up my enthusiasm for outdoor cooking. I suddenly begin to study the pages of each issue of Williams-Sonoma's catalog looking for ways to transform our next meal into magazine spread worthy affair. And that's when I saw them. Steak brands.

There's only one problem...I can't find a single brand that offers more than three letters on the monogram. Sure, it'd be wonderful to have my initials on a steak. But what I really want it to say is "MINE" on top. Not my initials. I just want the letters M-I-N-E on top of my fillet.

If I can't have that maybe I'll just take a brand in the shape of the great state of Texas. But pay special attention to the steak brands I uncovered above. Adidas, Apple and Nike? This may have just been a promotional image for a magazine. I find it unlikely that even Steve Jobs would put the company logo on his sirloin. But then again, who am I to judge how a man likes his steak.
