Tira Mi Su
Tiramisu, the amazing espresso-infused dessert earned its moniker from the wonderful effect is has upon those who consume it. The Italian phrase tira mi su literally translates to "pick me up." How pleasant is that?
But since I'm not prone to eat sweets (nor will a food allergy allow me to consume the genuine marscapone cheese required to make this delectable dish), when I need a "pick me up" I rely upon the incomparable {This Is Glamorous} and her not-yet-so-well-known {a glamorous little side project} to give me a boost.
Her images enchant. Her posts are always just the right length. Her images, did I mention her images? And I just adore her writing. Suffice it to say, a brief visit to either of her blogs always leaves me feeling très magnifique.
So... let me ask you... who gives you a pick me up when you need it?
Yes, we *love* her! Didn't know about her side blog - how lovely!
Blog surfing is a definite pick-me-up...(and photos of George help too!)

I've regressed, I crank up the stereo. These days it's Bill Evans or Gilberto/Getz for the most part. Then flop down on the couch and read a few pages. Heaven on earth.
But I love my google reader, too....

I do a lot of different things to change my state of mind. Music. Driving with the top open. Showering. Long bubble baths. Slowing down to enjoy coffee or tea with a friend. All of them work. But when I'm at my laptop I love a good visual departure from my blogger girls & gents. Always does the trick to get inside someone else's head for a few moments. :)
