Fresh Squeezed Goodness
Orange. The very color just makes me happy. If you were to walk around my home you'd see bursts of orange here and there - along with a bit of celadon. So seeing the proliferation of orange goodness in the windows and catalogs of every home furnishings and accessory retailer under the sun just makes me giddy. What better way to start off the new year than with a fresh new attitude. Orange, wonderful, vibrant, radiant orange.
But wait, have you noticed that green and yellow are just as abundant? It's like some grand awakening of a new color palette. The grim colors of fall decorating are finally gone (were the window displays in your area as dreary as ours this holiday season? ours were downright somber...blues, grays, blacks... *sigh*) and we're looking towards spring with a juicy outlook on life. Time to being some citrusy goodness into your home.
Granted, the color strategists at work behind the scenes plan the seasonal palettes very far ahead of product releases, but I needed this. I needed the new colors. I welcome the new colors. I want the new colors. I am thrilled to see such festive colors emerging on the interior design front.
Dreary colors? No thanks. You can take it. take it far, far away. As for me and my home, we'll be living with a fresh squeezed bit of citrus in our lives. Bring on the zest!
