Limoncello
Ladies... we've really got to get on this lemon yellow tip. Stat! I knew this lovely top looked familiar. And when I looked down at the latest copy of my Saks catalogue (did you get this one, by the way? Nearly an inch thick... and PACKED with goodies!) there she was. This lovely, drapey, silky, wispy, lemon yellow miracle of a top you see above. Heaven, I tell you. Heaven made of what I'm certain is some of Italy's finest silk. It's not Matthew Williamson's creation... it's just that I'm noticing a geometric kaftan/tunic theme here. I have to say, I like it. A lot.
And unless you're lucky enough to be my friend Sara (hi, Sara!) and live in balmy south Florida, you'll need to transition this look for fall. I'd pair it with these "shooties" (as Stylescribe calls them). Yes... those are some of Rachel Zoe's picks from Piperlime. (**** No spoilers about last night's RZP episode, please! I have it TiVo'd! ****)
Time to inject a dash of this happy color into your wardrobe. How can you possibly have a bad day dressed like a ray of sunshine?

Sadly in all my years I've never found a color of yellow that looks good on me. Short of installing a Sarah Palin tanning bed, I think I'll have to stick to my fave purples this Fall. Gorg pix though!

For me it ends up boiling down to how much sun I've had. Even with my La Roche Posay, I invariably end the summer with color. At that point I can wear pretty much any shade under the sun... even the color of the sun itself ;)

I had this fabric made into a V-neck dress to complement my rediscovered natural almost-black hair (and hide Post-baby bulge) for my daughter's Christening. The did it for me and the charged nearly nothing for something custom made. (Is it knowing the right people?) I wasn't sure at first but they were right.
I still have in my possession a vibrant fuchsia cardie from 1999 (?, not sure), I had to retire it after it got holes on the underarms from wear. :(

I like the color much better than the drink :)

is it me or there is a yellow thing going on????

I agree, Savvy... I'm seeing yellow everywhere suddenly. It must be our aversion to admitting winter is approaching ;)
Sara... you, and your lovely handbag collection, are welcome anytime. But I'd rather come see you in the sun!
Mi, thank you for stopping by! Glad to have you ;)

Yellow is taking over! Nylon is obsessed with spotting unsuspecting gals (and guys I suppose) with yellow nail polish, but truth be told, I'm loving these yellow "shooties" better!

Love the photo! Unfortunately, yellow makes me look sallow. But maybe the mustard might be gentler! I will have to try!
