What's In a Name?

Picture_6

I'll admit it. I love my name. I can't tell you how fun it is to show up at someone's office or speak to them for the first time on the phone and catch them off guard. Frequently they expected me to be a short Italian man (their words, not mine). It seems somehow the name "franki" conjures up images of a Danny deVito look-alike. So imagine the surprised look (or absolute silence) when a small energetic woman comes through the door. The experience is always memorable. In fact, it's such a guilty pleasure that if I ever have a daughter I will be sure she enjoys the same unique experience of having a boy's name. Why rob her of the same daily excitement?

So when Kristen gave me the chance to see my name in lights (or pixels, as it were) I couldn't resist. It's just a little bit of tech fun someone created using images from Flickr. Talk about a fun way to blow a few fast minutes at the end of a Monday.

Enjoy yourself!

What the beautiful people are saying...

fun idea! I have a huge thing for old signage and neon.

I love this - so ransom note, hate mail ha!.
Btw - Franki great name for a girl = tres sexy.

LOL! Yes, I suppose it is very ransom note, HOBAC! LOL! Love it!

And Richele, I'm right there with you. LOVE he old school signage. It seems so 50's diner to me, which is always a kick.

i love your name as well.
growing up with the name "jennifer" has definitely changed my view on names. when i have kids i want them to have unique meaningful names unlike any other... =)

maybe franki... haha.

Jenn, I am with you! Growing up the school halls were filled with Jennifers, Michelles Heathers and Stephanies. It was so bad. Sadly, every mom felt she was coming up with a unique name, Jennifer was brand new at the time! Who knew!

Jump on in, the water's fine...
