A World of Thanks
The Mod Summer Giveaway ended last night at midnight. I'd like to personally welcome all of the new readers who introduced themselves during the two week giveaway. What an adventurous group of readers!

From African safaris to sitting on the Spanish Steps, the responses took us all over the globe. Discovering the varied responses was a treat. How nice to learn about some of your favorite journeys away from home as well as a little bit about each of you. Again, thank you for your tremendous responses.

12 days in the Sacred Valley of Peru. My husband and I rode Peruvian Paso horses along with 5 beaudacious and wonderful British women through the Andes and visited remote villages.Really beautiful country and warm people and the horses magnificent climbers. Trip end at Machu Picchu.

lovely! I look forward to visiting Peru as well. The mystery behind the ruins is so beguiling.
There is a really exquisite train ride you can take up to the top as well. It runs about $500 per person, but offers round-trip travel up the mountain and is really a luxe experience. We're hoping to go that route when we visit.
