Hidden Hideaways
Habitually Chic has me longing for my old friend Florence today. She featured J.K. Place, a luxury boutique hotel just steps form the Duomo in this marvelous Italian town. What's even more fabulous, is that this is her second choice in sweet destinations. She's holding back on us:
I have travel on the brain this week. I think it's because I wish I was going somewhere exotic for Labor Day weekend instead of Pennsylvania, which is where I am actually going. I was also originally going to tell you about another hotel in Florence but it's small and actually very reasonably priced and I don't want it too be all booked up before I make a reservation so I'll tell you about that one some other time.
I love it. We've all got secret hideaways too good to pass on to friends and family. Until, of course, we've enjoyed the private indulgence of being the first of our crew to spend a weekend in luxury. All the while reminding yourself that you'll be happy to tell them ALL about it when you get back to the States.
So for those of you tucked away in posh retreats this weekend, raise your mojito glass high and enjoy the spoils of your fabulous lifestyle. Then tell us all about it on Tuesday. ;)

Aww, we don't get to have Labor Day here in the UK :-(
Although we did just have a bank holiday last weekend, so I guess it's fair!

well, that and the fact that you have that fabulous accent. If we're to live without such an elegance in our voice the least we can do is have an additional holiday ;)
cheers!

It is a Catch 22, to share or not to share. On the one hand you don't want it overrun, on the other you don't want it to close. I say share the wealth. You know you're going to have to post that Florence hotel on Tuesday, right?

Hi Franki! Just stoping in to say"hi" and see what you're up to . Love this Hotel! I agree with Fashion Girl. Share the wealth!

I spent some time on this Hotel's web-site this morning drooling and wanting to visit.

I thought the same thing, Patricia. How did I overlook this gem? I like that it is within a stone's throw of the action...while still being private and offering a much needed respite from the crowds that cause the streets to swell during summers in Florence.
